Malta in 3 Days: The Perfect Itinerary

Three days is enough to see Malta’s highlights without rushing: one day of culture, one on the water, and one on Gozo. Here’s how to spend it.
Day 1 — Valletta & the Three Cities
Start in the capital. A morning walking tour covers St John’s Co-Cathedral, the Upper Barrakka Gardens and the Grand Harbour view.
In the afternoon, cross the harbour to the Three Cities — quieter, atmospheric and full of history.
Day 2 — Comino & the Blue Lagoon
Spend the day on the water. A cruise to the Blue Lagoon and Comino’s caves is the most popular day out in Malta — go early to beat the crowds.
Day 3 — Gozo
Take the ferry to Gozo for the Citadel, Dwejra and a red-sand swim at Ramla Bay. A guided day trip handles the logistics:
